Terms of Use

1. Scope

These Terms of Use govern the use of the website TransitionFiles.com (the "Website"), operated by Dr. Christian Czauderna (the "Operator"), in particular the registration of a user account and commenting on and liking posts. Reading posts does not require registration.

2. Registration and account

  • Registration is free of charge and permitted from the age of 16.
  • A valid email address and a display name are required. The email address is verified with a code sent by email.
  • Only one account per person is permitted. Display names must not be misleading; impersonating other persons or organisations is prohibited.
  • Credentials must be kept secret. The account holder is responsible for all activity carried out through the account.

3. Respectful and non-discriminatory content

The Website is intended as a place for factual, respectful discussion. When registering, members expressly commit to publishing only respectful and non-discriminatory content. In particular, the following content is not permitted: content that degrades, disadvantages or vilifies persons or groups on grounds of ethnic origin, colour, nationality, religion or belief, gender, sexual identity, age or disability; insulting, defamatory, threatening, harassing or violence-glorifying content; content that violates applicable law, including criminal, copyright, trademark or personality rights; advertising, spam, chain letters or links to harmful content; deliberately false statements of fact. Factual criticism, even when clearly worded, is expressly welcome – it targets arguments, not people.

4. Confidentiality and data protection

  • No confidential information or trade secrets (within the meaning of the German Trade Secrets Act – GeschGehG) may be published – neither your own nor those of employers, customers, business partners or other third parties.
  • Personal data of third parties (e.g. names, contact details, photos) may only be published with their express permission. The GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act must be observed.
  • Non-public information from professional contexts, negotiations or internal meetings must be treated as confidential.

5. Rights to content

Members retain the rights to their comments. By publishing, they grant the Operator a simple, free-of-charge right to make the comment publicly available on the Website and to process it technically (display, storage, backup). Members warrant that they hold the necessary rights to the content they publish. The Operator's posts are protected by copyright; sharing by link is welcome.

6. Moderation

The Operator may hide or delete comments that violate these terms without prior notice and may block or delete accounts in the case of repeated or serious violations. Violations can be reported to contact@czauderna.de.

7. Availability and liability

There is no entitlement to permanent availability of the Website; maintenance, disruptions or discontinuation are possible at any time. The Operator is liable only for intent and gross negligence and – in the case of slight negligence – only for the breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability for injury to life, body or health remains unaffected. The Operator is liable for member content only from the moment a specific legal violation becomes known.

8. Term and termination

The user relationship runs for an indefinite period. Members can delete their account at any time under "My profile", which also removes their comments and likes. The Operator may terminate the relationship in the event of violations of these terms or discontinuation of the Website.

9. Changes to these terms

The Operator may amend these terms with effect for the future where necessary for legal or functional reasons. The current version is published on this page with its date. In the case of material changes, registered members will be asked to accept the terms again at their next sign-in.

10. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. For consumers habitually resident in another state, mandatory consumer protection provisions of that state remain unaffected. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
